Coronation of King NOMTOC L

"NOMTOC, 50 Years Strong in Algiers " was the theme of the bal masque presented by the Jugs Social Club's Krewe of NOMTOC -- "New Orleans' Most Talked of Club" -- Saturday in the La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Reigning as Queen NOMTOC XLIX was Miss Blair Brunet Burns, daughter of Mr. Winston J. Burns, Jr. and Mrs. Wendy Brunet Burns, former Queen NOMTOC XVII. The Queen greeted her subjects wearing an elegant gold sequin and soft lame’ customized princess cut gown. The royal gown has a sweetheart neckline and trumpet bottom with an off the shoulder sleeve. Her Majesty’s gown front is fully adorned with both rhinestone and silver appliques placed from top to bottom, with purple stones in an aligned pattern and individually placed crystals.  The queen’s collar is embellished with customized shapes as well as sequin trim.  The Queen’s 14-foot mantle of gold lame’ is trimmed with white faux fur enriched with a crown on the top of the 50th year roman numeral, largely embossed with feathers encompassing the signature year, along with personalized designs and rhinestones.

His Majesty the King, Mr. Lawrence Jourdan, Jr., wore a rich gold sequin and soft lame’ custom-made tunic costume with silver rhinestone appliques. His Majesty’s tunic front is fully embellished with both rhinestone and silver appliques placed from top to bottom, with purple stones in an aligned pattern and individually placed crystals.  The king’s elaborate white feathered collar is adorned with gold and silver sequin trimmed shapes, along with splashes of both purple and crystal Aurora borealis rhinestones.  The King’s 14-foot mantle of gold lame’ is enriched with white faux fur, decorated with JUGS’ Crest top mirroring the actual club emblem, along with personalized designs and rhinestones.

Brown, daughter of Mr. Danny and Mrs. Dedria Gordon; Zoe Cherice Nelson, daughter of Mr. Barry and Mrs. Zena Nelson; Courtney Sade’ Mercadel, daughter of Mr. Desmond and Mrs. Aisha Henderson; Teon Maria Denet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Teneco Denet, Sr.; Kayla Arianne White, daughter of Ms. Sabrina White; Zoe Alyssa Cordova, daughter of Mrs. Dwana and Edmond Cordova, III; Jahlia Sanee’ DeBiew, daughter of Mr. Edwin and Mrs. Cashur DeBiew; Mignon Breyone Nelson, Daughter of Ms. Jolanda Precillia Waiters; Iyian Mykiel Paige, daughter of Mr. Ira Paige and Ms. Laura Lee; Taylor Lynn Porter, daughter of Ms. Brandi Porter; and, Alana Richardson, daughter of Mrs. Ashley and Mr. Louis Richardson, Jr.
